Tas berry producers explore FOODEX Japan
Fruit Growers Tasmania | Tuesday, 5 March 2019, 5.20pm
FOODEX Japan is currently in full swing in Tokyo, providing an exciting experience for two Tasmanian berry producers. FOODEX is Asia's largest food and drink trade show dedicated, with 3,300 exhibitors and over 72,000 visitors expected to attend.
For Tasmanian berry producers Richard Clarke (Westerway Raspberry Farm) and Sharon Keetch (Tru Blu Berries), the trade show provides an exciting opportunity to explore export opportunities and develop potential business relationships. The trip includes a insight tour of the Japanese markets, meetings with importers and distributors, and exhibition space at Taste Australia's Tasmanian pavilion. Tasmanian exhibitors are also expected to meet up with Tasmanian Premier Will Hodgeman's trade mission in Japan on Thursday.
