Mandatory Quad Bike Safety Standard enforced from October 11

As of 11 October 2021, new national quad bike safety standards came into effect which mandate that all new and second hand general use quad bikes imported into Australia must meet minimum stability guidelines and be fitted with rollover protection devices.
The new standards are aimed at reducing Australia's high death toll with a record 24 Australians killed in quad bike accidents in 2020.
Even with the new regulations, safe riding precautions remain extremely important. Operators should always wear helmets and safety gear, complete the necessary training, and never let children ride adult bikes.

The Primary Producer Safety Rebate Scheme may be able to assist with retrofitting operator protection devices to existing quad bikes
