DPIPWE Fruit Fly Update

DPIPWE and Biosecurity Tasmania have released an information letter to all Tasmanian fruit growers detailing changes to the ongoing Tasmanian fruit fly response. This letter can be viewed here.
The letter outlines changes to Control Area restrictions and financial assistance programs for affected growers. These changes are coming into effect from 1 October 2018 to support affected growers until 9 January 2019, which is the the target date for reinstatement of the Pest Free Area status.
FGT is working closely with Biosecurity Tasmania to assist with getting important biosecurity information out to industry.
