CGA to host COVID-19 telephone hookup for growers
Fruit Growers Tasmania | Monday, 30 March 2020, 10.25pm
Lingering air travel and airlines have been identified as key issues for Australia's cherry growers as the industry charts a way through the continuing COVID-19 situation.
Cherry exports have grown in recent years following mainland market access to China, Vietnam and Korea, with growers increasingly reliant on air freight to service these markets.
Cherry Growers Australia will be hosting a live telephone hookup session for growers on today (Tuesday, 31 March 2020) to discuss the COVID-19 and its potential flow-on effects on the 2020 upcoming cherry season.
The hookup session commence at 10am EDST. Growers and other industry members can join the session by dialling 1800 896 323, and entering the passcode 3058 250 590.
