Fruit Growers Tasmania

Export producers and packhouses across Tasmania are in the process of renewing their annual export accreditations for key protocol markets. To assist with this, Fruit Growers Tasmania (FGT) held its northern and southern regional export registration workshops on 22 July and 1 August 2019. Both workshops brought together export producers of cherries, apple and other fruit to discuss export requirements for the coming year.

An updated standard FSQ4.1 has been developed to ensure Freshcare certification is compliant with the benchmarks set by GFSI. Once all GFSI feedback is incorporated, the FSQ4.1 standard will be released to industry in early July. One of the changes in the updated standard will be the requirement for businesses to document procedures or work instructions for activities that impact food safety. .
