Export tape
In 2022, the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) harmonised the export tape requirements across all plant exports. Under the new arrangements, exporters will use the export tape which features the lettering “Plant Quarantine Australia” in green font on a white background.
Please note there are some protocol markets where this tape is listed in the workplan and protocol as a mandatory requirement.
The “Plant Quarantine Australia” green and white tape is mandatory in the following Protocol Markets:
- Cherries - Korea and Japan
- Apples - to be confirmed prior to the 2024 season
Fruit Growers Tasmania export tape prices:
Member price - $7.10 / 100m roll
Non-member price - $8.87 / 100m roll
Note: Please order as much as you expect to need for the entire season, as Fruit Growers Tasmania is not able to carry stock of spare tape. Additional orders will be subject to a 2-3 week turnaround period. The price is based on your collection of tape from the Fruit Growers Tasmania office.
